Second Trace is built for investigators, journalists, researchers, legal teams, nonprofits, families, and responsible members of the public. The current release is an educational demonstration — explore it with the example material and see how these documentation methods are represented in the interface.
Why it looks the way it does
The interface is deliberately editorial rather than instrumental: calm typography, hairline structure, and information that reads like a well-kept archive. Long investigative sessions demand legibility, not spectacle. Every visual choice favors the record.
Status
Second Trace is currently an educational demonstration of case-documentation workflows. Use the example material to explore the interface; the current release is not for real investigations or legal decisions.
The demonstration case combines public historical records with clearly labeled synthetic examples. No private case material is shown.
